UVC had the pleasure of getting to know the young artist, Dreoh, who has been gaining traction in the underground. We got to hear about some producers and rappers in the scene who he believes are slept on, as well as dinner with Jay-Z and tips for artists who are struggling with writer’s block. Get to know this talented artist in his exclusive interview with Underground Vampire Club.

Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Dreoh, I’m 16, and I rap and produce. I’ve been rapping and producing for a while, and I’ve always had a love for music. It’s something I’ve done since I was in elementary school.

How old were you when you started rapping?

I used to freestyle with my friends in like, the 5th grade, so I was 10 or 11 when I started. I didn’t take it seriously until I was 14, but by then I was familiar with fl studio.

Who was your first favorite rapper?

I grew up listening to a whole bunch of different artists but the first artist I really fucked with for a long ass time was Chief Keef. I remember the first time I heard him on Back from the Dead, in late 2012, and from there I just kept listening.

Do you have any tips for people struggling with writer’s block?

For anyone who struggles with writer’s block, the best thing you can do is step back for a moment and try to get some inspiration from literally anywhere (tv show, movie, cartoon, a ceiling fan), inspiration can come from a million places man.

If you could collab with any artist who would it be and why?

If Fredo Santana was still alive it definitely would’ve been him (rip) but my runner up would be Lucki, because his songs just make me feel a type of way. Some people would call him mid but the shit he says in his songs is all too real.

Are there any producers you feel like don’t get the appreciation they deserve?

Oh my god I could name like 10 off rip that don’t get an 1/8th of the attention they deserve, but the ones I’ve always worked with best and stand out the most to me are Dani Kiyoko, Wockboy, and Teddyc. Everything they make goes hard honestly.

Have you ever experimented with autotune?

I have a few times, I actually got a whole EP on my computer that’s just autotune stuff.

Do you listen to any other genres outside of hip-hop?

R&B 24/7, I listen to that as much as I do hip-hop.

What is your favorite and least favorite part of the underground?

My favorite part is working with new people and just getting to create what I want whenever. And I feel like everyone says this but my least favorite part gotta be all the extra drama/beef that goes on, most of the beef is dumb and unnecessary.

$20,000 or dinner with Jay-Z?

Dinner with Jay-Z, that cosign gon’ get me a lot more than $20,000.

If you could live in any other country which one would it be?

Italy, that place is beautiful.

Who is the most underrated artist in the underground?

Personally, Kara goes fuckin crazy and there are way too many people sleeping on her.

If you could spend one day with any person dead or alive who would it be any why?

Fredo Santana. I feel like that would be an eye-opening experience because he was always above the bullshit in his life, always stayed humble and that’s what I strive for. I could never be a bragging type of person, never liked that growing up and I still don’t, and Fredo was on that mindset too so I feel like we’d have a lot to talk about.
