If you enjoy the rap culture on SoundCloud or just SoundCloud in general, it can be a living nightmare keeping up with your favorite artists and producers sometimes. We’ve all had those days where we’re scrolling through our timeline and find out our favorite artist has dropped a whole EP, our favorite producer has dropped a tape of exclusives, and our favorite DJ just put together a killer mix all in the same day.

So because keeping up with all this can be frustrating for some people, we’ve complied some of our favorite releases as of late for you to check out.

Hanzo – Spinz Practice

Honestly, it’s fitting the cover of this track features space-related themes because of how outer spacey this track is. Accompanied by Hanzo’s almost drowsy lyrics, this track really does make you feel like you’re in outer space. Also, shout out Kudzu on the production here, really does this track justice.

DR DRIIP – SMASH IT (Prod. Dontsleep)

These days it isn’t necessarily hard to start a collective. But starting a collective and keeping it interesting while maintaining good chemistry between the members is a whole different story. Then you have Dr Driip, the Vince McMahon of the underground and CEO of Big Muscle Gang (BMG). While Dr Driip’s career is still young even for underground standards, his clever wordplay, energetic personality, and refined aesthetics already set him apart in the scene. Dr Driip is usually at his best on Dontsleep produced tracks too, so this is one you don’t want to miss.

Tommy Ice – Bentley Truck (Prod. SwitchLane)

This might just be the year Tommy Ice gets some mainstream success. After his collaborative projects with Kevin Kazi: Tommy Kazi and Tommy Kazi 2, Tommy Ice has already been on a roll this year with several great releases. But Bentley Truck might be his best release so far this year. With production from unknown producer SwitchLane, this track really showcases Tommy Ice at his best.

Johnny99k – Terror w Ab (Hosted by @AstoldbyMeagan)

I feel like everyone has scrolled through the related tracks page before on SoundCloud and have found a track that sticks with them. One of those tracks might just be Johnny99k’s Terror w Ab hosted by Queens DJ AstoldbyMeagan. The track is almost haunting with Johnny99k’s delivery, but it definitely makes the track special. If the Halloween movies were based in a trap house, this would probably be the main theme that plays throughout the movie.

Hellfiger – bad dreams on wrist (Prod. Fadedblackid & Trapphones)

Hellfiger and his collective Radiation have been one of the most interesting groups to watch so far this year. In the aesthetics department, they’ve been setting themselves apart too with their glitchy, early 2000’s internet sort of artistic approach. Looking at a cover for almost any Hellfiger song makes you feel like you’re using dial-up internet and just got a virus on the family computer. This song is honestly Hellfiger and his aesthetics at their best. With Neilaworld producers, Fadedblackid and Trapphones on the production here, we arguably get one of the most pleasing songs we’ve heard in a while.
